BS EN 1982 CC331G (formerly BS1400 AB1) is a common alloy of cast Aluminium Bronze. A nickel-free aluminium bronze with 10% Aluminium and 3% iron which provides additional strength and acts as a grain refiner. It goes under the designation C95200 in the USA.
CC331G (AB1) has good strength and wear resistance with reasonable machining properties. CC331G resists tarnishing and high temperature oxidation. These physical properties remain good, even at high operating temperatures. General corrosion resistance is good but under some circumstances may suffer dealuminification.
